On June 9, 2012, friends and family of Rachel Rome Houpes gathered at the Carriage House in Lynch Park for the opening of her memorial show, "Rachel Rome Houpes: A Celebration of Art." During more than 4 decades of creating art and teaching classes in Beverly, Rachel left her mark through hundreds of paintings and thousands of lives touched while gaining countless fans along the way. Through her art, Rachel continues to give back to the arts community, raising $3000 through sales proceeds that benefited art programs offered through Northeast ARC for North Shore residents with disabilities.
